Our middle name was the same (Dale) and Larry's mother called us "Chip and Dale". We had a ton of fun together and I was one of the pallbearer at his funeral. He was truly a great friend and I miss him. David, his brother, and I stay in touch on facebook.
Larry and I went to elementary together, Junior High together, and then High School. My last name was Holt, and his was Hopkins, so in almost every class in elementary, he would sit behind me and pester me. I'll never forget graduation, and as I took my seat, right beside me was Larry. We both just cracked up laughing. I remember him with fondness, and was so sad to hear of his passing.
