I was extremely close friends with Sydney at West Junior. I was very happy when Sydney decided to run track but I could not of been more proud when he graduated from the police academy.

Sydney's son  is marrying a friend  of mine's daughter... He looks just like his Daddy, was with Syndey and a group one night when he had just graduated from the police academy and was showing off his gun , it went off and needless to say my friend who was pregnant at the time almost went into labor..scared the >>>>>>> out of all of us, so sad to hear of his passing

I thought of Sydney as our class James Dean and always had a secret crush on him.  He was a good guy.

I am in agreement with Charlane about Sidney.  I also went to West Junior, and had a secret crush on him, sort of the good girl/bad guy secret crush.  He really did look like a movie star.  So sorry he is no longer with us.

Sydney and I go back to Brook Ave..........Totally scared of him at first but learned to love him as we became best friends. Missed him in Jr. High but was so tickled to reunite at Waco High.

Even convinced him to come out for football...Gardner's discipline....wasn't Sydney's style...so he moved on.

Great guy and am honored to have known him.
