I recall the last time that I saw Barbara when she stopped by my mother's house. We stood out on the driveway for quite awhile talking and catching up. This had to have been in the 1970s. It seems a few weeks after that I remember receiving the phone call from my mother of her untimely death at the hands of her husband. So shocking but so sad. When I reflect on our years from elementary through high school, I am often reminded of her walk and her laugh. People often called her "tippy toes" because of the way she walked. That aside...she was truly a great friend.
Yes, Vivan I too remember geeting word of Barbara's senseless death. She was on the phone speaking with her sister @ the time. She was in an abusive marriage. This was in the early '80, living in CO. Keep all our classmates lifted up in prayer. Some aren't strong enough to seek help or sure if they should. We are our brothers & sisters keeper. We can always get a prayer in each day.
