Is Laurie the one who drowned driving across a creek in her VW bug? I can't remember for sure any help out there? I remember someone drowning when their car was washed down stream after a storm, her boyfriend was with her, he got out, but couldn't get her out, they found her way down stream days later. I just remember the funeral procession being so long........not sure if it was the Laurie or not!
Laurie died our senior year in a terrible car accident/drowning. She was a fellow band member and friend. I still think of her now and then. If memory serves me, Charlane and Ricky Smith were cousins. Ricky Ashly was with her.
Laurie was a great friend. She was not any kin to us just a very good friend. Yes Dawn, she was caught in a freaky flash flood. Melissa, like you I still think of her from time to time. She loved the marching band. Guess I will always miss her.
